Language schools

For the over 18, courses are offered at 6 different levels in compliance with the European Norm for Languages which encourage conversation in French and assure constant progress. The school, modern and spacious, is situated in one of the liveliest and most innovating districts of Paris with its canal, cafes and shops, very popular among students.


THE SCHOOL
Our partner school is located in the North-East of Paris next to the famous La Villette Park with it’s  popular Science Museum and Imax Cinema. This district has become one of the most modern and innovating districts of Paris. Ever since the 1960s, it has undergone several stages of modernization, and is nowadays a charming district with its canals, cafes and shops, very popular among students. During the Summer it’s one of the sights of “Paris Plage” with plenty of animations and events.The school is modern and spacious. It has 10 large and bright class-rooms, a café space with vending machines and wifi access. Some lessons might take place in a nearby building at a 2-minute walking dist-ance. Metro station very close to the school.


ACCOMMODATION
We offer half-board accom-modation in a host family living in a residential  suburb of Paris, easily accessible by public transport.


COURSES
Courses are offered at 6 different levels, in compliance with the European Norm for Languages.
The teaching method focuses on contact and dialogue. It makes use of authentic written doc-uments and audiovisual reference material, as well as daily life contents to encourage conver-sation in French and assure constant progress.

 

GENERAL FRENCH: 17 hours/week
10 hours of General French
7 hours of electives (2x1h workshops + 2h seminars + 1 activity)
LANGUAGE LEVELS: from Beginner to Superior


UNIVERSITY PREPARATION: 20 hours/week
10 hours of General French
10 hours of University Preparation (including Test  preparation for TCF, DELF or DALF)
LANGUAGE LEVELS : from Intermediate to Superior


INTENSIVE UNIVERSITY PREPARATION: 27 hours/week
10 hours of General French
10 hours of University Preparation (including Test preparation to TCF DELF DALF)
7 hours of electives (2x1h workshops + 2h seminars + 1 activity)
LANGUAGE LEVELS : from Beginner to Superior


ELECTIVES DESCRIPTION
Workshops: Students choose the workshops from the following:
SPOKEN FRENCH: Conversation / Phonetics / French reading & intonation / Oral conversation
WRITEN FRENCH: Grammar / French writing lessons / Dictation & spelling / Vocabulary
Seminars: 2 hours per week on French Civilization and culture
Activity: 1 cultural visit per week (commented visit in French of a district of Paris, museum visits, …)
